Tracey L. Wilkie Waabishki Giiwedin Ikwe/White North Wind Woman is a citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and works as a Parent Coordinator for the ND Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health advocating for children's and families emotional, mental and behavioral health. Tracey has spent her 30 year career working in social services and criminal justice reform employed by progressive departments for policy and procedure updates. She was also a American Federal State Municipal County Employee Local 88 member and steward for 20 years negotiating workers rights in the work place.
Tracey is a life long human rights advocate in systems and society. She has spent her life fighting for women's rights, healthcare, LBQTQ+ equality, childcare and education and looks forward to a seat on the board of the North Dakota's Women's Network. She recently ran for a seat in the the North Dakota Legislature District 16 on a all women ticket and she was 336 votes away. She plans to run again. Tracey lives in Fargo and has 4 adult children and 2 grandson. She stays active in social justice issues in Fargo and throughout North Dakota and Minnesota in her free time. |
