Curious about the Capitol? Longing to learn more about what your legislators are up to? Interested in activism, advocacy, and interacting with equality-minded folks?

The North Dakota Women’s Network presents our FREE legislative learning experience for women and girls!

Participation Notes:

All ages are welcome: we’ve welcomed Girl Scouts and 5th graders, college students and Bad Ass Grandmas.

All experience levels can join: whether you’re an expert lobbyist or have never read a bill.

Participants are encouraged to attend both Sunday’s training and Monday’s lobby day activities, but if you can only make it to one or the other, that’s okeedokee.

For those traveling from communities outside of Bismarck, the NDWN has a block of rooms reserved at the Ramada. NDWN can cover the cost of a limited number of these rooms for participants willing to share with another WE Rise Attendee.
Please utilize the Facebook event page to organize ride-share plans. If we get enough interest from a specific area, NDWN and partners can assist in organizing transportation.

Give Back. Give a Period Pack.
Our Period Packs are delivered to schools, public health organizations, and other groups in need. We accept all menstrual products, but currently have a greater need for tampons and opaque zippered bags (think pencil cases).

Light, heavy, few, many – whatever you can donate, helps us promote menstrual health in North Dakota.

The very core of the work we do at the NDWN is to empower women. Demystifying the legislative process is an important step toward increasing women’s political participation.

When women are in office, we make policies,we support communities, WE Rise.

Representation matters. In a legislative year that’s been particularly difficult for equality rights, reproductive rights, lgbtq+ rights, voting rights, working families, freedom of speech, libraries and educational institutions, and basic human decency…we know that in order for our state to support its people, we need to see major changes in our positions of power.

WE Rise allows us to work towards a more diverse, welcoming, progressive future.
